Responsibilities

Responsible for City & County CU’s asset/liability management, financial analysis, investment analysis, liquidity management, organizational budget, and profitability. The incumbent builds strong relationships with every part of the organization, educating all as to their financial requirements and their contribution to financial performance. Actively participates in the formulation and execution of institutional strategic and tactical initiatives that help to ensure the credit union meets or exceeds objectives. Exemplifies the mission, vision and values, displays strong business acumen, and is confident and comfortable interacting with the all levels within the organization. 

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Serves on the Asset Liability Management Committee. Manages the interest rate risk function of the credit union’s asset liability management model, to include data input, assumption management, report generation, result validations and system updates. Manages continual development and improvement of the ALM function. Prepares the ALCO package and presents at committee meetings.
  • Monitors liquidity needs and maintains proper control and investment of surplus funds in a manner which complies with the objectives of the Credit Union. 
  • Assists with the investment portfolio management including developing and maintaining relationships within the fixed income investment market place, evaluating new fixed income sectors for fit with investment portfolio objectives, recognizing and recommending purchase and sale opportunities within the portfolio, conducting pre-purchase and sales analysis and executing approved investment transactions.
  • Documents rationale for each investment decision with an audit/regulatory focus. Analyzes trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investments and/or spending decisions.
  • Creates and prepares investment analytical reports covering portfolio performance, risk analytics, and policy/regulatory compliance.
  • Collects and evaluates relevant economic, political and regulatory information which impacts fixed income investing.
  • Documents investment management strategy, processes and procedures.
  • Conducts research and makes recommendations to the VP Accounting & Finance and President/CEO regarding the type and amount of Credit Union investments to best fit Credit Union goals and objectives.
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual budget for the Credit Union.  Aids in the development of periodic financial forecasts to reassess the expected performance against established goals working with the Senior Management team for key input.  Responsible for budget software maintenance including key inputs for budget formulation. 
  • Develops, implements, and maintains product profitability within the credit union software model.  Prepares financial profitability models for viability of new products and service offerings. 
  • Assists in pricing decisions on loan and deposits by utilizing ALM software. Activities should include making recommended rate changes to the VP Accounting & Finance.
  • Aids in the coordination and preparation of the annual external financial audit, examinations and comprehensive internal audits. Serves as a point of contact, interprets and discusses findings and related recommendations, responds and ensures implementation of new controls, processes and procedures within the prescribed or agreed upon time lines. 
  • Participates in projects, duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.  Serves as a backup to other positions within the Finance/Accounting area when needed.  Aids in the department cross training.  Provides mentoring and coaching to other members of the Accounting/Finance Team.  Identifies, recommends and drives continuous improvement to current processes. 
  • Follows Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures as they relate to this position.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the VP Accounting & Finance.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in accounting, economics or finance. CPA, MBA, CFA preferred.
  • Five years or more of experience in active balance sheet management, with knowledge around GAAP accounting and understanding of fiscal policy and investment regulations within a Credit Union, Bank or Financial Services area. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information into easy understandable manner
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with skills in financial analysis, forecasting and reporting
  • Strong computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with investment management tools such as Bloomberg.

Responsibilities

CCCU is looking for a talented Branch Manager to guide all work performed in the branch and to supervise all areas of operation. You will manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation. A successful candidate will have a hands-on approach with a knowledge of banking regulations and policies. You will provide back-up to your team, when needed, to ensure members are taken care of in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

The Community Engagement Specialist, a vital team member on the Marketing Team, is responsible for raising awareness for the ‘People Helping People’ philosophy and cultivating relationships with key strategic partners, community leaders, non-profit entities and individuals to increase brand awareness for City & County Credit Union.

In addition, the Community Engagement Specialist will bring energy and passion for financial education, community events, volunteering, relationship building and cooperative banking.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 4 years professional experience in business development, sales management and/or marketing experience.
  • Must be a licensed driver with a working automobile available to you at all times.
  • Excellent PC skills with a proficiency in many programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience in using graphic design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator in IBM platform and working knowledge of social media management platforms and email marketing softwares is beneficial.
  • General understanding of the financial/credit union industry including compliance-related issues.

Responsibilities

The Consumer Loan Officer is primarily responsible for underwriting a high volume of excellent quality consumer loans and ensuring the successful delivery of consumer loan services quickly, accurately, courteously and in a confidential manner. This role is also responsible for identifying member needs and providing information regarding how the credit union's products & services can meet those needs.

  • 2+ years’ experience Credit and/or Consumer Lending experience in a bank or credit union
  • 2+ years’ customer service experience with an ability to cross-sell products and services
  • Solid understanding of consumer credit and underwriting, including knowledge of Consumer and Home Equity lending in a Centralized Lending environment
  • Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software, including MS Office and in-house data processing systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a goal oriented environment with good organizational skills and accuracy while maintaining a positive attitude

Responsibilities

CCCU is looking for a Member Connections Specialist for our credit union's call center. You will serve as the liaison between our company and its current and potential members through phone calls, emails and chat. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively solving member issues, complaints and inquiries, including simple banking transactions, while keeping member satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior. You will also educate members on credit union products and services that will help them be financially successful.

CCCU is looking for a Member Engagement Specialist (MES), the credit union’s version of a personal banker. You’ll be responsible for assisting our members in opening and managing their accounts and finances by building long-term relationships and cross-selling the products and services that will help them be financially successful. We are looking for excellent communicators with solid knowledge of banking processes and products. Sales, banking and customer service experience can help you succeed in this role. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others with accuracy, is self-driven, and familiar with financial institution regulations.

CCCU is looking for a responsible bank teller to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be the “frontline” of our credit union and will play a fundamental role in achieving our member satisfaction and company goals. We are looking for candidates that will be comfortable making dozens of transactions daily and communicating with different types of members, while serving as a member advocate and educator to help our clients be financially successful. Sales, banking and customer service experience can help you succeed in this role.
